Fixing authentication was only one part of a larger problem

Although there were demands for a more secure and seamless way of logging in, businesses needed more than that - authentication is part of a larger ecosystem of employee and lifecycle management (from the day they start to the day they leave) and the various work applications they access every day, some that contained sensitive data and needed more security than others. We needed to meet the growing and changing demands of the market.
